By car from vienna
Vienna- Kautzen (car- 140 km)
Vienna- Highway A22 direction Stockerau – get off Horn-Waidhofen/ Thaya (16 km left) – leave roundabout (big silver steel bird in the middle)first right – direction Thaya, at T-cross turn left and a few meters afterwards to the right- direction Kautzen (11 km left)- after about 2 km turn right- Peigarten – Pleßberg – Kautzen – at main sqare (church and fountain) turn right and follow the signs „festival“ – big parking spot – approx. 600 m down the valley by foot (sorry- not possible otherwise…) – Welcome home!

Departure Vienna: Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof:
on weekends and public holidays : 07.05, 09.05, 11.05 a.m.,01.05, 03.05 p.m.weekdays: 07.05, 09.05, 11.05 a.m., 03.50, 04.52, 05.57 p.m.Arrival: Waidhofen/ Thaya approx. 2 hours later (change the train in Schwarzenau!)
From Waidhofen to Kautzen there is a bus, but it´s not a regular service. Other possibilties would be to hitchhike or to call early enough for pickup.
